DESCRIPTION OF AUTOMATIC SMOKE REMOVAL EQUIPMENT

Automatic smoke removal equipment is designed for removal of smoke from premises through opening smoke release roof skylights. Every smoke area has automatic and manual start-up, as well as optional remote start-up:

Automatic start-up - automatic start-up for smoke areas is initiated after fire detection and alarm system receives „smoke" signal and identification of smoke area address. According to proper signal smoke release roof skylights open and/or smoke removal fans are initiated.

Manual start-up - there are open and close buttons for every area in each automatic smoke removal equipment cabinet. According to proper signal smoke release roof skylights open and/or smoke removal fans are initiated.

Remote start-up - there are smoke removal control panels in each smoke area, which include open buttons for the area equipped with smoke removal control panels. According to proper signal smoke release roof skylights open and/or smoke removal fans are initiated.

Smoke removal (hereinafter referred to as smoke-protection) systems of a building ensure:

  • Automatic generation and transfer of fire alarms to an indication panel;

  • Equipment operation control transferring proper signals to control and indication panels.

 DESCRIPTION OF SYSTEM AUTOMATIC OPERATION

Smoke sensor operates in case of fire, and the signal "smoke" is transferred to smoke removal system cabinet. The smoke removal system opens smoke release roof skylights in the area where the smoke sensor has operated.

The system shall be stopped by manual pressing of "Alarm recall" button in smoke removal system cabinet.

AUTOMATION CABINET STRUCTURE

Automation cabinet consists of welded metal body and locking doors fastened to the body by hinges. There are rubber seals between the body and doors. The cabinet bottom has trays for cable inlet into the cabinet. Automation cabinet can be installed on the floor on special metal structure rack or hanged on the wall. Indication lamps installed on the cabinet indicate the position of smoke release roof skylights, fan failure and smoke area alarm.
